Bragg’s Biathlon for Beaumont
Richard Bragg
My Story
I'm taking on this monumental challenge to help raise awareness for the truly outstanding work done by the staff at Beaumont Hospital and the difference they make to so many people's lives. We're especially thankful for the tremendous care they provided to our son before, during and after his surgery in 2023. We will be forever in their debt.
This is my way of giving something back — to say thank you, to help others who may need the same level of care, and to ensure Beaumont can continue making a life-changing difference to families like ours.
If you can, please consider sponsoring me, as every donation, no matter the size, will directly support the amazing work done by Beaumont. Together, we can help make sure more people get the care they need, when they need it most.
What is the challenge? The two challenges to be completed are:
- Completed! Glendalough National Park Swim, 7th September - a 3.9-kilometre swim around the upper lake at Glendalough in Wicklow. At more than double the distance of any previously attempted open water swim, and beyond full Iron Man swim distance, this is going to be tricky!
- Completed! EcoTrail Wicklow, 27th September - I'll be taking on the 30-kilometre distance of this epic trail run across the Wicklow Mountains with over 1200 metres of hills to climb along the way!
