My Story

In May, I will be running the Toronto half marathon in memory of my sister Lisa who passed away on 20th January 2017.

Lisa was a ray of sunshine in human form -  full of love, kindness and fun who had a way of making everyone feel special. With her quick wit and infectious sense of humor, she always had everyone laughing with her perfect one-liners. The most beautiful person inside and out. I feel so lucky to have had not only a sister like Lisa but to have shared such a special closeness.  She touched so many hearts during her 19 years which is testament to the person she was. We will miss Lisa for the rest of our lives but promise to keep her memory alive every single day.

I'm also Running to raise money for Beaumont hospital's Richmond ward. When Lisa was transferred to Beaumont hospital, during what was the most difficult time of our lives, the staff there showed  incredible kindness, support, and professionalism of which me, my parents and Johnny will always be grateful to them for.

The half marathon will take place on 4th May 2025, 12 days before what would be Lisa's 28th birthday.
